This video documents a visual art collaboration between a 10 year old child and me. This project was inspired by an art exhibit at Viewpoints Gallery on Maui in which each of the invited artists were asked to work with someone who would challenge us to create something together that took us out of our comfort zones. The exhibit was called “Relationships and Collaborations”. Many people chose to work with another artist who used a different art medium as a way to stretch their creative boundaries. Although I also participated in one collaboration of this sort, my other was with a child, a former student (during 2nd and 3rd grade) who had attended an arts integrated elementary school in which I teach visual art.
