The Shadow aspects of the human psyche can be described as vital, passionate, and often creative energies that fall out of balance. When we shine the light of our awareness on these parts of ourselves by acknowledging and making SoulCollage® cards for them, they begin to find a place of equilibrium within us. We then give them a voice by dialoguing with and listening to what they have to say. As a result, we are more able to embrace them within the circle of our love and understanding. We will begin our workshop by choosing a powerful image with which to make a Protector card for our deck, an ally to support us in our quest for balance as we also make cards to bring our unconscious Shadow parts into the light of day. To nurture these repressed parts of ourselves and even to witness the Shadow within our positive traits is a surprisingly beautiful, enlightening and profound experience.
