Description

Eco Printed Leaves on watercolor paper

Come join me for an exciting day of Eco Printing, a process in which the shapes, textures, and sometimes the colors of plants, leaves, and flowers are transferred to a substrate through the application of heat and pressure. In this class, you will have an opportunity to:

• experiment with creating and cooking “plant sandwiches” using a wide variety of plant materials shared by class members on watercolor and drawing paper supplied by instructor. Results will be documented and shared within the group after cooking and removing plant materials to reveal your beautiful prints.

• Paint, stamp, and stencil with plant-based inks made from beet, turmeric, mulberry, and more using paintbrushes AND natural mark-making tools including: hala seed pods, papaya stems, pine needle bundles, and more.

• A Google Docs handout with instructions and tips will be shared with all registered participants so that you have the information you need to continue Eco Printing on your own.
